Treat-or-Treat Halloween Healthy Hacks

PR²OMiSE will be teaching our youth to make healthy alternative choices when eating candy that will be collected on Halloween. We will discuss the importance of sugar intake, choosing healthier alternatives to eat sugar laden foods, physical health and safety when going treat-or-treating. The lesson included reading an interactive age-appropriate story, presenting/discussing healthy safety tips (that was printed and given to them to take home) for trick-or-treating and passing out healthy alternatives treats (pretzels, granola bars, organic suckers and gummies with no artificial flavoring or ingredients).
